So, what does a Silvi Materials Pre/On Boarding Assistant do?  You'll be an integral part of our Stellar HR Team!

  • Assisting with pre-boarding tasks as necessary including background checks, physicals, drug test scheduling, DOT requirements, start date arrangements and any other related activity.
  • Assists with on-boarding tasks such as I-9 completion, E-Verify submittal, employee profile creation, employee time clock enrollment and any other related activity.
  • Monitors employees for DOT and legal compliance. Completes projects to organize, track, and update compliance records both physically and electronically.
  • Supports recruiting initiatives for the HR Team, by coordinating the administrative tasks associated with those activities
  • Responsible for assisting the Human Resource Department with related tasks and projects. 

Qualifications

  • Hard working and dependable.
  • Friendly and has a positive attitude.
  • Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to complete a high volume of work on a regular basis.
  • Experience with employee pre/on boarding and/or DOT compliance highly preferred but not required.
  • High School Diploma, G.E.D., or state accepted equivalent required (some college a plus)
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel
  • Ability to learn industry specific industry software.
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Valid driver's license. 

Physical Demands

In a typical work setting, people in this job:

  • Lift 20 pounds regularly and up to 40 pounds on occasion.
  • Use one or two hands to grasp, move, or assemble objects
  • Stand for long periods of time.
  • Kneel, stoop, crouch, bend, stretch, twist or crawl.
  • Hear sounds and recognize the difference between them.
  • See details of objects that are less than a few feet away.
  • See differences between colors, shades, and brightness.
