As a Silvi Materials Cement and Aggregates Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling cement and aggregates products to clients within the construction industry in Southern NJ and Pennsylvania. Working under the supervision of senior sales staff, you will engage in prospecting, client relationship management, and negotiation to achieve sales targets. This position requires strong communication skills, a keen understanding of construction materials, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced sales environment.

So, what does a Silvi Materials Cement and Aggregate Sales Representative do? 

Prospecting and Lead Generation:

  • Identify potential clients within the construction industry through market research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Develop a pipeline of leads and opportunities to expand the customer base.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with existing clients to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and orders.
  • Provide product information, technical support, and guidance to clients as needed.

Sales and Negotiation:

  • Present product offerings and solutions to clients, emphasizing the benefits and value proposition.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with clients to secure sales agreements.
  • Close sales deals in a timely manner while meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Market Analysis and Strategy:

  • Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Analyze sales data and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop strategies for expanding market share and maximizing sales revenue.

Administrative Tasks:

  • Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and other documentation as required.
  • Coordinate with internal departments such as logistics, operations, and finance to fulfill customer orders and resolve issues.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of sales-related paperwork and documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous experience in sales or customer service, preferably in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of cement, aggregates, and other construction materials is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients.
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities to close sales deals effectively.
  • Results-driven attitude with a commitment to achieving sales targets and objectives.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Sales Force.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as needed.
